Spring means blooming flowers, green grass poking through, and muddy puddles. ! It means ditching the winter coats and digging hands in dirt. It means warm sun on cheeks and a crisp breeze. Spring means rain boots and umbrellas. It means new life, and best of all, it means new read alouds!

To accompany my wall of spring books for kids, I set up a dramatic play flower shop for my toddler to enjoy! I turned our Wiwiurka Toys rainbow rocker on its side to form a divider and to turn the space under the book wall into a little shop.

The Felt Flowers in a Row are from the Lovevery play kit "The Helper," which was kindly gifted. It's great for developing fine motor skills, 1:1 correspondence, and early counting skills. I also set up three tin pots with different colors of flowers in each to give my daughter practice sorting by color. Both of these activities are great options for 2 year old play.

This season has so many fantastic new releases that celebrate the spirit of Spring, as seen here on our book wall. You can shop this entire collection of spring kids books on Bookshop here and on Amazon here.
